Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

• Manage complete production operations and ensure timely achievement of production targets.
• Handle job-order and batch production processes.
• Plan and monitor production activities as per customer requirements and production schedules.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machines and materials.
• Monitor production performance and take corrective actions wherever required.

2. Team & Manpower Management

• Manage and lead a workforce of 300+ employees.
• Build, develop and motivate production teams.
• Allocate manpower effectively across production activities.
• Drive team performance and maintain discipline and productivity.

3. Productivity & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for improving productivity and operational efficiency.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
• Reduce production losses, wastage, rework and downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

4. Quality, Safety & IMS

• Ensure implementation and adherence to IMS standards, including:
• QMS – Quality Management System
• EMS – Environmental Management System
• OHSAS / Occupational Health & Safety
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Promote a strong quality and safety culture within the production team.

5. SOPs & Documentation

• Develop, implement and maintain production-related SOPs and documentation.
• Ensure production processes are standardised and followed effectively.
• Maintain accurate production records and performance reports.

6. Root Cause Analysis

• Identify production-related issues and bottlenecks.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring problems.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve production performance.

7. Cross-functional Coordination

Work closely with various internal functions, including:

• PPC / Production Planning & Control
• Stores
• Dispatch
• Engineering / Maintenance
• Quality
• Purchase and other relevant departments
