Job Description

Role & responsibilities To Develop and oversee short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine plans in line with production targets. To design mine layouts, pit optimization strategies, and haul road networks using advanced mine planning software (e.g., Vulcan, Surpac, MineSight, Datamine). To optimize ore recovery, waste management, and material handling to maximize profitability. To ensure mine planning aligns with geological modeling and resource estimation to optimize iron ore grade and reserves. To ensure all mine planning activities comply with government mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws . Technical Skills: Proficiency in mine planning software (Surpac, Vulcan, Datamine, etc.). Knowledge of geological modeling, reserve estimation, and resource classification, Understanding of mine economics, pit optimization, and mineral processing . Experience with environmental and safety regulations in mining . Required Qualifications B.Tech/M.Tech in Mining Engineering (Masters preferred). Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in iron ore mining. Candidates should have overseas experience in mine planning.
