Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Desktop Engineer to join our team in the Western Line. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and provide exceptional support to our end-users. This role involves on-site troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of desktop systems and network connectivity, making it crucial for ensuring operational efficiency within the organization. Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for end-users. Assist in the deployment of new software and applications across the organization. Ensure timely resolution of service requests and incidents as per SLAs. Maintain documentation of work performed, including service requests and asset inventories. Collaborate with IT teams to improve processes and support strategies. Conduct regular maintenance checks on hardware and software systems. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 0-5 years of experience in a technical support role or desktop engineering. Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with desktop hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting methods. Knowledge of network configurations and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management. Basic understanding of virtualization technologies and remote support tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with non-technical users.
