EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Mandatory: Masters in Industrial Safety Engineering Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities. Desirable: Degree level Environmental Qualification to Diploma or Degree level EXPERIENCE Mandatory: Professional experience between 15+ years experience in Environment, Health & Safety Highly recommended experience in manufacturing sites or Automobile Industries Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001 Deep knowledge of local legal requirements. Desirable: Experience in railway is a plus EHS auditor PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Ensure/provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors. Minimize impacts on the Environment (environmental footprint of operations & management of historical pollution). Protect Alstom assets and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes. ORGANISATION Reports directly to: Site Managing Director Other reporting to: Site Management Committee, Region or Cluster EHS Head Direct reports: EHS Engineer/ EHS Technician NETWORK & LINKS Internal Alstom Management Team, Alstom EHS Network Other Functions: Human Resources, Manufacturing, Platform, Finances External Local authorities External auditors (PWC or equivalent) Stakeholders COMPETENCIES & SKILLS Teamwork and leadership Initiative and action driven Communication skills Analytic thinking, rigorous mindset Good computer skills Continuous Improvement tools MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Support Site Management in achieving EHS performance Drive the implementation of EHS policy on the field according to the Alstom/Region/Country-Cluster guidelines and targets, and the improvement of EHS results in the site. Advice, help, coach, support operational management in the EHS actions implementation to reach Alstom EHS objectives. Prepare the local yearly EHS plan consistent with Alstom strategy and objectives. Mobilize and coordinate with others to meet those objectives and deploy the plan. Monitor the right deployment of the plan. Ensure EHS Risk Assessment is done & appropriate measures to control risks are defined for the Site. Prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans at Site level. Make sure activities of sub-contractors are under control with respect to EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operational areas. Has full authority and must stop any operational activity resulting in an immediate high risk to People or the Environment.
