This includes content creation, media relations, managing digital presence, and overseeing branding and PR campaigns to engage key stakeholders such as industry leaders and policymakers. Strategic Communication • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance visibility and influence. • Align communication efforts with organizational goals, key events, and advocacy priorities. • Tailor messaging for diverse audiences, including industry stakeholders, media, and policymakers. Content Development • Create and edit high-quality content, including press releases, articles, reports, newsletters, and speeches. • Oversee content for the website, social media platforms, and internal communications. • Develop compelling case studies, success stories, and thought leadership pieces to showcase impact. Media Relations • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry publications. • Organize press conferences, media briefings, and interviews to ensure consistent and positive media coverage. • Monitor media coverage and analyze its impact on reputation and outreach efforts. Digital and Social Media Management • Develop and implement a strong digital communication strategy to enhance online presence. • Manage content calendars for social media platforms, ensuring timely and engaging posts. • Track and analyze digital metrics to improve online engagement and outreach. Event Communication • Lead communication efforts for major events, conferences, and initiatives. • Prepare event-specific communication materials such as brochures, banners, and invitations. • Coordinate live event coverage across digital platforms, including live tweeting and video streaming. Branding and Public Relations • Ensure consistency and adherence to branding guidelines across all communication channels. • Develop public relations campaigns to strengthen the image as a thought leader and advocate for industry growth. • Identify opportunities to promote work through partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic collaborations. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelors or Masters degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields. • 4-6 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public affairs. • Prior experience in managing communications for large organizations, nonprofits, or industry associations is preferred. Skills & Competencies: • Exceptional Writing Skills: Proficiency in drafting clear, concise, and engaging content for various platforms. • Design Savvy: Ability to develop and handle designs and creatives. • Media Savvy: Strong understanding of media dynamics and ability to build productive relationships with journalists. • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute impactful communication plans. • Digital Expertise: Strong knowledge of social media trends, SEO, and content marketing. • Project Management: Organizational skills to handle multiple campaigns and events simultaneously. • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage with senior leaders. • Analytical Skills: Competency in measuring and reporting on communication performance metrics. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Media coverage quality and volume for events and initiatives. • Growth in social media engagement and website traffic. • Quality and impact of communication materials (e.g., newsletters, reports). • Number and strength of media partnerships and relationships. • Alignment of communication efforts with organizational objectives.
