Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Doctor to join our team at the Palliative Care Centre in Tumkur, Karnataka. This role focuses on delivering high-quality clinical care to palliative care patients, under the guidance of senior medical staff. The Doctor will play an essential part in supporting patients and families, managing symptoms, and ensuring compassionate end-of-life care. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care Provide compassionate, patient-centred care, focusing on symptom relief and improving the quality of life for palliative patients. Conduct medical assessments, manage pain, and address other symptoms under supervision. Assist senior doctors in developing and implementing baseline reports at the time of admission, individualized care plans for patients, adjusting treatment as required based on patient response. Medical Procedures Administer basic medical procedures, including pain management techniques, under the supervision of senior medical staff. Monitor and record patient vitals and progress, ensuring accurate and timely updates to patient records. Assist with any additional procedures as directed by the senior doctor, ensuring adherence to all safety and care protocols. Coordination and Communication Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, counselors, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care. Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing support and information about the patient s condition and care plan. Attend team meetings and handovers, contributing observations and insights to improve patient care. Learning and Development Participate in training sessions and workshops focused on palliative care practices, symptom management, and patient communication. Engage in continuous learning to build skills and stay updated on best practices in palliative care. Seek mentorship and feedback from senior doctors to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Skills: Educational Requirements: MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for exposure to palliative care, oncology, or pain management. Language Skills: Proficiency in Kannada is essential for effective patient and family communication. Clinical Skills: Basic knowledge of palliative care principles, symptom management, and patient-centered care. Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and empathy skills to connect with patients and families.
