As a Data Centre Operator, you will manage the daily operations of a data center, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. Your typical day will involve conducting physical and security checks, overseeing the management of physical tapes and media, and providing assistance during vendor interventions. You will also act as "remote hands" for administrators, facilitating their tasks and ensuring that the data center operates at optimal levels. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and security of the data center environment, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Expected to be an SME, you will collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively. You will be responsible for team decisions and engage with multiple teams to contribute to key decisions. Providing solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams will be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will facilitate training and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities and monitor and report on data center performance metrics to ensure operational excellence. Proficiency in Linux Operations is a must-have skill for this role. You should possess a strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operations, along with experience in server management and troubleshooting. Familiarity with network protocols and security practices is essential, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is crucial for success in this position. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux Operations. This position is based at our Kolkata office, and a 15 years full-time education is required.,
