Certified Medical Coder (E&M)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Accurately analyzes provider documentation and ensure that appropriate Evaluation & Management (E&M) levels are assigned using the correct CPT codes. Follows coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory bodies. Evaluates medical records for consistency and adequacy of documentation. Maintains compliance standards as per the policies and reports compliance issues as required. Preferred candidate profile : Bachelors degree in any stream (preferably Life Science). Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) with knowledge of HCPCS, ICD, CPT, and DRG preferred. Minimum one year of experience in medical coding. Freshers with CPC certification are encouraged to apply
