CAM Programmer

Job Description

Required experience on solid cam software(mandatory) Key Responsibilities: Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software based on engineering drawings and 3D models. Select appropriate tools, cutting paths, and machining strategies for optimal efficiency and surface finish. Collaborate with design and production teams to understand part geometry, tolerances, and material requirements. Simulate and verify tool paths to prevent collisions and ensure dimensional accuracy. Optimize programs for cycle time, tool wear, and machine utilization. Support machinists on the shop floor during the setup and first-run validation process. Troubleshoot and revise programs as required to improve output and resolve production issues. Maintain documentation, revision control, and program logs for all jobs. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
