Job Title: L2 Support Engineer (Field Support) Location: Mumbai Work Mode: Onsite / Field Support Job Summary: The L2 Support Engineer will be responsible for field support, implementation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure environments, including virtualization platforms, server hardware, operating systems, and network devices. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hosts and clusters. - Manage VMware vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V environments. - Configure VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, and related clustering technologies. - Install and troubleshoot Cisco switches, VLANs, and basic networking. - Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies. - Install, configure, and manage Linux systems. - Perform server hardware installation and RAID configuration. - Provide support for Windows 10/11 client systems. - Work with backup solutions for backup and restore operations (if required). - Document configurations and provide field support reports to clients. Must-Have Skills: - Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V. - Knowledge of vCenter and virtualization cluster configurations. - Experience with Cisco switch configuration. - Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management. - Linux administration experience. - Server hardware installation and RAID setup. - Client OS troubleshooting (Windows 10/11). Good to Have: - Experience with backup software like Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, Acronis, etc. - Basic scripting using PowerShell or Bash. Candidate Profile: - Around 10 years of relevant field or L2 support experience. - Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. - Willingness to travel to client locations within Mumbai.
