Role & responsibilities Lead the Plant Procurement & packing function of Conductor business Take a lead role in managing the Procurement & Packaging Vision and Operating Model (defined by the organization leadership) and sharing it with stakeholders of all related key functions. Provide leadership to team members across all categories to leverage supplier relationships and buying synergies Drive sourcing and demand management strategies across spend categories within the purview of the organization Directly manage high value critical procurement assisted by category managers Lead supplier contingency planning & multi-sourcing strategy. Build & effectively manage a team of sourcing talent as well as key stakeholders by inspiring, leading, coaching, developing & rewarding them Establish metrics, processes, procedures and partner governance management to ensure optimum service, performance & pricing Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Procurement and Business Exhibit cross-functional influence skills across virtual and in-person teams across center or plants Effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders to facilitate clear understanding and decision-making Bring externally focused perspective to the business and provide superior support around implementation of business strategies and project management Ensure effective risk management & mitigation across categories within the organization Ensure that Code of Conduct and Ethics policies are foremost in all supplier interactions Enable innovation strategy for the category group Support strategic alignment of Procurement Operations roles and responsibilities Take lead in managing People and Competencies, Change & Communication, Procurement related Processes and Tools that improve the performance of the overall procurement function and support the overall company direction and procurement strategy Stakeholder Communication Regular interaction with internal stakeholders (Plant, Finance, Quality) to understand requirements Strategic vendor engagement and relationship management Coordination with legal and compliance teams for contracts and audits Preferred candidate profile Having experience in manufacturing industry procurement is a must. Knowledge of conductor/cable industry procurement, packaging and key raw materials (Steel, packaging etc.) is an advantage but not mandatory . Minimum 20-25 years of procurement & packaging experience in engineering goods/ discrete manufacturing is required Technical 1. Technical Expertise - Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement & Packaging. 2. Operations Experience - 20+ years of experience in large-scale procurement & packaging operations in discrete manufacturing / engineering goods 3. Leadership and Management Skills - Experience in leading teams, managing vendor partnerships, and driving performance metrics 4. Project Management - Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and ensure on-time delivery 5. Cost Management - Strong skills in cost modelling, negotiation, and vendor cost evaluation Non Technical 6. Willingness to travel domestically for client meetings, industry events, and site visits. Proficiency with customer relationship management tools, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting platforms. Good leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital safety management systems.
