Assistant Purchase Manager

• Day-to-Day Purchasing Operations:

  Convert requisitions and demand plans into purchase orders (POs), track acknowledgements, and manage delivery schedules.

• Vendor & Supplier Management:

  Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, maintain approved vendor lists, and monitor supplier performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Negotiation & Cost Control:

  Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery commitments with vendors to drive year-on-year cost savings.

• Inventory & Stock Oversight:

  Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts or excess inventory, and manage slow-moving or obsolete stock.

• Invoice & Payment Reconciliation:

  Partner with finance teams to perform three-way matching (PO, Goods Received Note, and Invoice), clear discrepancies, and reconcile vendor accounts.

• Team Supervision:

  Guide, train, and support junior purchasing staff, buyers, or procurement analysts.

• Reporting & Compliance:

  Maintain purchasing logs, generate spend/savings reports, and ensure all buying activities follow statutory and company regulations.
