ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN / CONTENT & PUBLISHING SPECIALIST

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, BJMC, or any Bachelor's degree with strong expertise in academic publishing - Books and Journals.
• Diploma/Certificate in Publishing, Book Publishing, Journal Publishing or Editorial/Publishing Studies will be an added advantage.
• Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent digital skills will be desirable.

Experience

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
• Academic content writing and editing
• Proofreading and copy editing
• Book and journal publishing
• Editorial coordination and publication management
• Academic/research communication
• Blogging and digital content development
• Website and social media content
• Institutional publications and promotional communication

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, proofread and quality-check academic and institutional content.
• Coordinate book and journal publishing, including editorial and production workflows.
• Work with authors, editors, reviewers, publishers and other stakeholders.
• Prepare content for websites, newsletters, reports, brochures, presentations and social media.
• Ensure consistency in language, style, formatting and editorial quality.
• Support academic, research and promotional communication initiatives of the LRC.
• Assist in digital publishing and scholarly communication initiatives.
• Contribute to new content development and publishing initiatives.
• Undertake other academic publishing and LRC-related responsibilities assigned by the DirectorLibrary.
