Job Description

You should have a sound knowledge of Aero Engine Component Design and Non-Conformance Assessment Process, including sentencing of production/overhaul/service components (Technical Variance). Your experience should include design, development, and assessment of complex fabrications such as casings, rings, unit mounting, fairings, inlets/outlets, and external components like ducts, harness, pipes, hoses, and brackets. Understanding engine subsystem level requirements to develop component level concepts and modification policy for fleet, cost, and performance optimization updates is crucial. You will be responsible for creating design definitions, geometry creation, design solution drawings, component models, drawing definitions, and interface control documents. Your role will involve modifying gas turbine engine components to achieve cost reduction and resolve service and manufacturing issues. Reviewing concessions and recommending drawing changes through the Definition Alteration Request (DAR) process will be part of your responsibilities. Conducting Fit, Form, and Functionality analysis of components with defects through concessions, DAR, TADs, tolerance stack analysis, layout in UG, and collaboration with specialists like Stress Engineers, Air System Engineers, and Materials Engineers will be essential. You must have experience in the development of Engine Control System hardware and software, testing, and understanding of Engine health monitoring systems. Additionally, involvement in Life Cycle Engineering activities, particularly Reliability Engineering for Engine Components, is required. Preparing AMM, CMM, EMM publications, creating and editing Life Management plans for engine components, and resolving customer queries/issues in service and mod bulletins are expected tasks. You should also be proficient in reliability management through LRU trend reports, service experience reports, and root cause analysis reports. Experience in design context, safety requirements, DFMEA, and PFMEA methods is preferred. Proficiency in working with Teamcenter, UGNX, and PDM Metaphase will be advantageous for this role.,
