As part of Tienext’s founding team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to lead the Web & Backend tech team for a next-generation social networking app. This is a chance to shape the future of social networking while owning a significant share in the company’s success. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Technology with expertise in MERN & related tech to lead the development of our next-generation platform. As a core member of the leadership team, you will drive technical strategy, architecture, and implementation while building and managing a high-performing development team. This is an equity-only opportunity, ideal for entrepreneurial-minded individuals seeking ownership in a growing venture. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of scalable and maintainable web applications and RESTful APIs. Architect, design, and implement efficient backend solutions using Node.js. Oversee front-end development with React.js, ensuring seamless user experiences. Build and maintain microservices-based APIs for seamless data integration. Define and execute the technology roadmap in alignment with business goals. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack developers. Establish best practices for software development, code quality, security, and performance. Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) for deployment and scaling. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and align technical efforts with business objectives. Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in web and API development. Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js, and backend architecture design. Proficiency in React.js, Redux, and UI/UX optimization. Deep understanding of RESTful API and microservices architecture. Experience with database systems (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL). Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and deployment pipelines. Strong knowledge of security best practices and performance optimization. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving development initiatives. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical architectural decisions. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker. Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes. Experience with TDD/BDD and scalable architecture patterns. Strong project management skills with an agile mindset. Why Us?
