Job Title: Head - Manufacturing (Fertilizers) Location: Hyderabad, Telangana (Relocating to Chennai in 2 Years) Experience: 25-30 Years Industry: Large-Scale Manufacturing (Preferably Fertilizers, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, or Steel) Age Criteria: 49-52 Years Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Head - Manufacturing to lead and oversee 11 manufacturing plants, including 3 large-scale and 8 small-scale factories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hazardous process industries and large-scale operations, preferably from Oil & Gas, Fluids, Steel, or Fertilizer manufacturing. The role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, safety leadership, and regulatory compliance while managing a workforce of over 1,300 permanent employees and 2,000 contract laborers. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Operations Management: Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate goals. Oversee multi-site manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost optimization. Spearhead process automation, digital transformation, and lean manufacturing initiatives (Industry 4.0, IoT). Implement World-Class Manufacturing (WCM) and Business Excellence practices. Ensure continuous production with flexibility in product mix and raw material adaptability. Safety, Health, And Environmental Compliance Lead safety, health, and environmental (SHE) compliance across all manufacturing plants. Implement and monitor process safety management systems (PSMS). Drive sustainability, ESG initiatives, and adherence to local and global regulatory frameworks. Production & Capex Management Oversee fertilizer production operations, including DAP, NPK, phosphoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Optimize raw material utilization (rock phosphate, ammonia, sulfur, fuel & utilities). Spearhead capital expenditure (Capex) projects for expansion and technological upgrades. Stakeholder & Team Leadership Lead and mentor Plant Heads and key operational teams, fostering a culture of innovation and safety. Collaborate with COO and cross-functional teams (Sales, SCM, HR, Finance) to align operations with business objectives. Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Financial & Performance Management Drive financial planning, cost optimization, and conversion cost improvements. Ensure strict adherence to budgeting and cost-control measures. Monitor and improve operational KPIs for efficiency and productivity. Key Interactions Internal: COO, Plant Heads, Project Teams, HR, Finance, SCM, R&D. External: Suppliers, Industry Bodies, Statutory Authorities, Government Liaison. Candidate Profile Educational Qualifications: B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering (Preferably from IITs, NITs, or Tier-1 Institutions). MBA/PG Diploma in Operations Management (Preferred). Experience & Expertise 25+ years in large-scale chemical process industries, preferably in Fertilizers, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or Steel. Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience at a corporate level, handling multi-site operations. Proven ability to manage large-scale manufacturing units with revenues exceeding - 22,000 Cr.
