Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): - Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized learning plans tailored to the unique needs of each child. - Collaborate with parents, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to set achievable developmental and academic goals. 2. Teaching and Instruction: - Provide specialized education to children with diverse needs, including intellectual disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other developmental challenges. - Use evidence-based teaching methods and adaptive tools to foster learning and growth. - Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement. 3. Assessment and Evaluation: - Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement. - Maintain comprehensive records of each child's development and adjust strategies as needed. 4. Behavioral Support: - Implement positive behavior reinforcement techniques to support self-regulation and effective communication. - Address behavioral challenges with empathy and professional expertise. 5. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with families, therapists, and educators to create a cohesive approach to development. - Provide training and resources to parents and caregivers to support learning and development at home. 6. Professional Development: - Stay updated with the latest research, tools, and methods in special education. - Participate in training sessions and workshops conducted by Brain Light. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field. Certification in special education is preferred. - Experience: [0-2] of experience working with children with special needs. - Skills: - - In-depth knowledge of developmental disabilities and teaching strategies. - Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability. - Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
