Job Summary: The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for accurately recording the weight of all incoming and outgoing vehicles transporting goods, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. This role is key in maintaining the integrity of site records, improving operational efficiency, and supporting inventory management and logistics coordination. Key Responsibilities:Operate the weighbridge system to accurately weigh inbound and outbound vehicles. Record vehicle weights and relevant data using digital and/or manual systems. Ensure all drivers provide appropriate documentation and verify contents match delivery notes. Issue and file weighbridge tickets for loads. Monitor and enforce safety procedures and vehicle compliance on-site. Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and office personnel. Maintain a clean and organized weighbridge area. Perform daily checks and basic maintenance of weighbridge equipment; report faults or issues immediately. Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports as required by management. Assist in stock control, reporting anomalies or inconsistencies in materials. Comply with environmental, health, and safety standards. Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or operations is an advantage. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle routine tasks responsibly. Physical and Working Conditions: Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
