Tech head - Software Development
Tech Head Experience: 10+ Years Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India About the Role: We're looking for an experienced and visionary Tech Head to spearhead our technology initiatives, drive innovation, and lead a high-performing engineering team. You'll bring a strong background in software development, architecture, and team leadership, with a deep understanding of supply chain management solutions ,procurement software, ERP or other SAP and B2B (SAAS)market dynamics . This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise and a proven ability to deliver scalable, robust enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas Strategic Leadership & Vision Drive tech strategy: Provide strategic thought leadership to achieve defined technical goals. Team & delivery oversight: Oversee software deliverables for quality and timeliness, and coach/mentor the team for growth. Design & Architecture Technical blueprinting: Guide and review technical specification documents, breaking down requirements into business and functional needs. Scalable solutions: Identify and leverage appropriate tools, technologies, and reusable objects, designing for scalability with Agile methodologies. Development & Coding Coding excellence: Guide the team in coding to design, enforcing coding standards and cloud best practices (AWS/GCP/Azure). Integration & quality: Perform complex cross-module/product/cloud integrations, conduct technical troubleshooting, and review code for quality and alignment. Testing & Quality Assurance Test coordination: Coordinate with the QA team for testing, supporting integration and connectivity across systems. Defect resolution & impact: Fix complex defects (functional/non-functional), understand defect impact/criticality, and guide the team on fixes. Deployment Support & Closure Production readiness: Provide prompt production support, fix/review defects, and maintain code versions/deployment trackers. Smooth transitions: Perform sanity checks post-deployment and coordinate with cloud administrators for migration. Service Support & Release Management Incident Identify, prioritize, and assign incidents, then analyze recurring issues and initiate change management. Release orchestration: Prepare and enable releases based on business process dependencies, coordinating sprint test cycles and deployments. Training & Recruitment / People Management Capability building: Support the creation and delivery of training courses on new SaaS product versions. Talent nurturing: Mentor new joiners and provide input for goal setting and performance appraisals. Knowledge sharing: Create, review, and upload technical artifacts to the knowledge repository, applying best practices. Project Planning & Support Project roadmap: Contribute to resource, project, and software requirement plans, identifying process improvements. Requirement management: Participate in requirement gathering/analysis, define timeline estimates, assess technical feasibility, and track task progress. Business Development Support Supporting customer and internal stakeholders during the time of issues. Doing cross functional role with product team, marketing and business development team for requirement understanding and for other things. And role and responsibilities will be added. Skills Set Must-Have Skills: Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python , Java, JavaScript, PHP. Web Technologies: Front-end (Angular, React) and back-end (Spring Boot, Laravel – PHP, Node js, Python) frameworks. Databases: Relational (, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP and their services. Software Architecture: Extensive experience in developing and implementing scalable and robust software architectures. Agile Methodology: Experience in Agile development, including sprint planning. Project/Program Management: Extensive experience in Project/Program Management, People Management, and proficiency with tools like Jira, Asana, Trello . AI Project Knowledge: Experience in AI projects. Deep experience in development of procurement software products, ERP, SAP, or other supply chain management solutions, and deep understanding of B2B (SAAS)market dynamics. Strong Client-Side debugging Skills and technologies. Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Soft Skills: Entrepreneurial, self-starter, excellent communication, ability to work independently, in virtual teams, and under high pressure. Desired Skills (Good to Have): Good to have AL and ML knowledge. C#, .NET 3.5, ASP.NET, MVC, Html/JavaScript/CSS, JQuery, Angular.js.
