Job Description

Key Responsibilities A. Annual Responsibilities Effectively implement directives from management and the Principal. Promote a disciplined, positive, and engaging learning environment. Plan, coordinate, and oversee academic and extracurricular activities. Organize teacher timetables, lesson plans, and classroom resources. Supervise syllabus completion, assessments, and result declarations. Support co-curricular activities, including inter-house and inter-school competitions. Oversee the publication of the school magazine, bulletin, and academic calendar. Plan and facilitate teacher training programs (minimum 50 hours annually: 25 CBSE hours + 25 school-based hours). Monitor teacher performance, conduct appraisals, support recruitment, and guide professional development. B. Daily Responsibilities Conduct a minimum of 16 teaching periods per week (for Middle and Preparatory stages). Oversee daily assemblies, value education sessions, and maintain student discipline. Ensure homework/classwork is effectively reviewed and lessons are well-executed. Perform two classroom observations (CROs) daily and debrief with the Principal. Utilize teacher stay-back hours for ongoing professional development. Maintain student discipline records and recommend corrective actions as needed. Conduct two learning walks each week, offering constructive feedback. Identify academically struggling students and organize remedial support. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and school initiatives. Ensure classroom display boards are regularly updated. Submit a daily school operations report to the Principal/Management. C. Weekly Responsibilities Ensure teachers regularly update lesson plans, maintain academic diaries, and submit required reports. Liaise with parents about Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and upcoming school events. Monitor the execution of the school's activity calendar. Qualifications & Skills Master’s degree in Education, Child Psychology, or a related discipline. 5–10 years of experience in teaching and school administration. Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities. Comprehensive understanding of the CBSE curriculum and academic policies. Proficient in Microsoft Office and school management software.
