Job Title : Ortho Nurse Location: Sunrise Hospital Pala - Ponkunnam Rd, Kaduvamuzhi, Erattupetta, Kerala 686121 Department : Orthopedics Employment Type: Full-Time Number of vacancies : 1 Qualification & Requirements : GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with active registration under State Nursing Council. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (orthopedic or surgical ward preferred). Sound knowledge of orthopedic conditions, treatments, and nursing protocols. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to orthopedic patients, including those with fractures, joint replacements, and spinal injuries. Assist doctors during rounds, minor procedures, and emergency orthopedic interventions. Monitor patient recovery post-surgery and provide wound care, pain management, and rehabilitation support. Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as prescribed. Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility exercises, and discharge planning. Manage orthopedic traction, plaster care, and external fixation devices. Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, assessments, and reports. Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies Preferred Skills: Experience in an orthopedic hospital or post-op surgical care. Familiarity with traction equipment and physiotherapy coordination. Strong communication and patient education skills. Experience in NABH or JCI-accredited hospital settings (optional).
