Job Description

You will be part of Global Products Engineering (GPE) group under Lam India Global Hardware Technology (LIGHT) function. Primary Responsibilities Leads, develop, and manage a group of around 5~7 Mechanical Engineers / Technical Lead Engineers / Hardware Designers at Lam India performing product development activities related to Wafer Handlers products (Dep & Etch handlers and Service equipment for Global Products Engineering team. Leads the team to deliver the engineering designs, analytics and drawings related to new products development NSRs, continuous improvements projects working in collaboration with the cross functional team like modeling & simulation, reliability. Manages the testing & validation ensures the utilization of the lab infrastructure. Leads the team of engineers to meet the key performance metrics (KPIs) and thrives to continuously improve the performance on KPIs. Drives the deign reviews (DRs) with an accountability to deliver the new product development DRs on time with first time right. Ensures that the team deliver the best-in-class design support related to handler and service equipment working in collaboration with global GPE engineering team. Executes the vision and roadmap set for the team. Coaches and mentors, the team to improve the technical capability of engineers, deploys the set talent strategy for the team. Drives continuous improvement projects to enhance design speed, productivity, leads root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA), 8D. Qualification and experience Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent With > 10 years of relevant professional experience & 2-4 years of supervisory experience Mandatory skills and requirements Experience in leading and managing a team directly or leading projects working with cross functional teams. Driving the product design reviews related to new product development. Having technical acumen to drive technical decisions with hands on experience of mechanical products and systems design. Leadership skills to make technical decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Experience in situational leadership and motivating team to achieve team goals. Having experience in leading technical deliverables while executing design reviews of new product development Desired skills Experience in working with mechanical architectural design teams (including mechanical, electro-mechanical, systems engineering, product safety, field service, manufacturing engineers) for major projects. Demonstrated ability to lead mechanical product and system architecture level solutions.
