Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for the overall management of the maintenance department, legislative requirements and the organization’s standards, Health & Safety, Facility Safety, Fire and Evacuation Duties and Responsibilities Oversees preventative maintenance program to comply with standards and regulations. Responsible for managing maintenance budgets. Responsible for managing the duties of outside trades, service personnel and external inspections. Maintains safety and security systems. Adhere to established corporate policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire safety, and environment and infection control. Prepare monthly reports. Provides all maintenance services throughout the Long-term care facility and Apartments. Able to schedule labour and supplies that are required to maintain the buildings in good repair. Available for call ins. Qualifications Strong leadership ability. Experience in supervision of maintenance staff, contractors and tradesmen. Must possess problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the area of Maintenance Services preferred in Ice cream or Fish industry. Diploma or ITI ( Mechanical or Refrigeration) Proficient computer skills. (Microsoft Office) Familiarity with relevant provincial regulations.
