Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery and utilities. • Ensure prompt troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in case of breakdowns. • Maintain records of all maintenance activities, including downtime analysis. 2. Equipment & Machinery Management: • Oversee the maintenance of bakery ovens, mixers, proofers, slicers, packaging machines, conveyors, and utility equipment (boilers, compressors, chillers). • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement to prevent production delays. • Work closely with vendors and service providers for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and specialized repairs. 3. Compliance & Safety: • Ensure all maintenance work adheres to food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, GMP) and factory safety guidelines. • Conduct regular safety audits and training for the maintenance team. • Maintain statutory compliance for electrical and mechanical equipment as per government regulations. 4. Team Management & Coordination: • Lead a team of technicians, fitters, and electricians, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient execution. • Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and optimize machine efficiency. • Train and upskill team members on new technologies and best practices in maintenance. 5. Continuous Improvement: • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance machine efficiency and reduce energy consumption. • Work on automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives for predictive maintenance. Preferred candidate profile Expertise in preventive & breakdown maintenance of bakery machinery. • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen. • Ability to handle electrical panels, VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and automation systems. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Leadership abilities to manage a team of technicians and maintenance staff.
