Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper Supervises: None Job Summary: The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas in accordance with the hotel’s standards. The role plays a key part in ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience for all guests. Key Responsibilities: Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas as assigned. Change linens, make beds, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and sanitize bathrooms. Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items. Report any maintenance issues, room damage, or lost & found items to the supervisor. Follow proper cleaning procedures and hotel safety guidelines at all times. Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently. Assist with deep cleaning tasks and seasonal projects when required. Maintain cleaning carts, equipment, and storage areas in a tidy and safe condition. Greet guests politely when encountered and respond to basic service requests. Follow departmental checklists and complete room status reports accurately. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Housekeeping experience; prior hotel experience is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service etiquette. Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Basic understanding of English for communication and reporting. Honest, punctual, and a team player.
