We are looking for a proactive and organized Site Engineer to manage on-site operations for residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating labour, managing vendors, and handling the procurement of construction materials. This role is essential to ensuring smooth project execution, on-time delivery, and cost-effective construction. Key Responsibilities: Labour Management: Supervise and coordinate daily work of on-site laborers and subcontractors. Maintain attendance records and manage work schedules. Ensure safety compliance and resolve site-level issues. Vendor Coordination: Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers. Monitor delivery timelines and quality of materials/services. Maintain clear communication between vendors and project stakeholders. Material Procurement: Create and manage material requirement plans based on construction schedules. Source and purchase materials at competitive prices without compromising quality. Maintain inventory levels and track deliveries to site. Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and resolve technical or operational issues on-site. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain site diaries, material records, and daily progress reports. Provide regular updates to the project manager or client. Required Skills and Qualifications: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in residential construction or similar field roles. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and vendor management. Good organizational and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with site tracking tools or apps is a plus. Ability to handle field-level challenges independently. Preferred Attributes: Ability to multitask and manage timelines efficiently. Negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and contractors. Willingness to travel to or stay at project sites as needed.
