Factory Internal Auditor - Compliance / ISO

Job Description

Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO standards across all departments (production, quality, maintenance, HR, etc.). Identify non-conformities and areas for improvement; prepare detailed audit reports. Track and verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) raised during audits. Ensure that documentation, records, and processes are maintained as per applicable ISO standards. Support periodic ISO certification and surveillance audits by external agencies. Work with department heads to ensure compliance with ISO requirements and promote a quality-focused culture. Customer Audit Coordination: Prepare for customer audits by ensuring readiness of documentation, processes, and records. Coordinate with departments to gather required data and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements. Serve as the point of contact during customer audits; assist auditors with information and site walkthroughs. Track and monitor audit findings and ensure timely closure of all customer audit non-conformities. Maintain customer audit records and share status updates with management and customers, as needed. Documentation & Training: Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) documents, procedures, and records. Conduct training and awareness programs on ISO standards and audit readiness for staff at all levels. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and environmental management systems. In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) Strong audit and analytical skills. Understanding of manufacturing processes and cross-functional coordination. Proficient in report writing and documentation control. Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Certified Internal Auditor for ISO standards (ISO 9001 mandatory; additional ISO certifications preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing in a manufacturing environment.
