Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced School Counselor to support the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of students aged 10 to 16 years. Key Responsibilities 1. Student Counseling :- Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address academic concerns, peer relationships, emotional challenges, and behavioral issues.- Support students in coping with stress, anxiety, bullying, low self-esteem, and other personal challenges.- Assist students in setting goals and developing life skills such as time management, decision-making, and conflict resolution 2. School-Wide Programs & Workshops :- Design and implement age-appropriate guidance programs focusing on mental health, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and social skills.- Organize workshops and campaigns around themes such as exam stress, adolescence, digital safety, and peer pressure. 3. Teacher and Parent Collaboration:- Work collaboratively with teachers to identify students needing support and advise on classroom strategies for emotional and behavioral management.- Communicate with parents/guardians about their child's development and suggest resources or referrals when necessary.- Conduct parent sessions to raise awareness about adolescent development and mental health. 4. Crisis Intervention: - Provide immediate support in crisis situations such as trauma, grief, or emergencies affecting student mental health.- Maintain a calm, supportive environment and coordinate with external professionals when needed. 5. Record-Keeping & Reporting :- Maintain confidential and up-to-date records of counseling sessions and student progress.- Prepare reports and assessments for internal use or referrals. Skills: - - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills. - High emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. - Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and maintain confidentiality. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Willingness and ability to help reform classroom management skills and work in cohesion with the teachers. Desirable Attributes - - Fluency in English and at least one regional language. - Knowledge of Indian education system and child development norms. - Familiarity with digital safety, mental health first aid, and adolescent behavior management. Remuneration: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
