Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Collections Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding payments, negotiating repayment plans, and resolving account discrepancies in a professional and empathetic manner. This role is key to maintaining our cash flow and ensuring excellent customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: Contact customers via phone, email, or SMS to collect overdue payments. Negotiate repayment terms and resolve customer queries related to outstanding balances. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and payment status. Follow up on promises to pay (PTPs) and ensure timely completion. Escalate unresolved cases to senior management or legal team when necessary. Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in collections, customer service, or a similar role (preferred). Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Hindi. Basic understanding of accounting and billing processes. Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult conversations professionally. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance) or BPO sector. Multilingual abilities (regional languages are a plus).
