Role Objective: The ASM will be primarily responsible for distributor appointment, management, onboarding chain retail outlets, leading a sales team of 7 members, and ensuring accountability for achieving sales targets consistently. Key Responsibilities: Distributor Management: Identify, appoint, and develop strong, committed distributors. Ensure distributors meet minimum monthly order value (MOV) criteria. Maintain strict adherence to the cash-and-carry model with advance payment compliance. Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 7 sales executives. Set clear objectives, monitor team performance, and provide regular feedback and training. Conduct daily briefings, weekly reviews, and monthly appraisals to drive performance. Chain Outlet Onboarding: Identify and onboard key chain retail outlets to expand the brand’s market presence. Build strong relationships with store managers and purchasing heads to ensure sustained business. Sales Target Achievement: Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Drive primary and secondary sales through effective distributor and retailer management. Regularly track sales data, analyze market trends, and implement strategies for continuous growth. Market Intelligence and Reporting: Collect and analyze competitive market data and customer insights. Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly sales performance reports to the RSM. Customer Relationship Management: Address distributor and retailer queries promptly and professionally. Ensure high customer satisfaction and manage conflict resolution effectively. Qualifications and Skills: Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred). Minimum 5-7 years of FMCG sales experience with at least 2-3 years managing distributors and sales teams. Proven track record in onboarding chain retail outlets. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in sales tracking software (CRM, FieldAssist, etc.). Key Result Areas (KRAs): Number of new distributors appointed per quarter. Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets. Number of chain retail outlets onboarded monthly. Team performance metrics and individual growth. Distributor compliance to company payment policies. Salary: ₹30,000 - ₹45,000 per month (based on experience and industry standards). Note: This role demands high accountability, excellent team management skills, and proven distributor network management.
