Sales Associate (Furniture Industry) Job
About the job: We are looking for a Sales Associate with a passion for helping customers find the perfect furniture for their homes. This role offers the flexibility to focus on either tele-sales or retail sales, depending on your strengths and preference. The right candidate will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, guiding clients through the purchasing process, and driving sales either via phone or in-store. A solid level of computer proficiency is essential to effectively navigate systems, process orders, and manage customer inquiries. Key responsibilities: 1. Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers in the showroom, helping them select furniture based on their needs and preferences. 2. Product Knowledge: Provide in-depth knowledge of the furniture range, ensuring customers make informed purchasing decisions. 3. Sales Targets: Drive in-store sales by achieving personal and team sales goals through upselling and cross-selling. 4. Showroom Presentation: Maintain a visually appealing and organized showroom, ensuring products are displayed to highlight their features. 5. Customer Service: Handle customer queries, provide solutions, and manage post-sale inquiries or complaints to ensure satisfaction. 6. Order Management: Help process customer orders, including delivery arrangements, special orders, and product inquiries. 7. Outbound Calls: Contact potential customers from a database or leads generated via online forms, advertisements, or previous store visits. 8. Inbound Calls: Answer inbound customer calls, addressing product questions, providing price quotes, and offering customized furniture recommendations. 9. Consultative Selling: Engage with customers over the phone to assess their furniture needs, offer appropriate solutions, and close sales. 10. Lead Generation & Follow-ups: Follow up on leads and previous customers to nurture relationships and drive repeat business. 11. Product Promotion: Update customers on sales events, promotions, new arrivals, and exclusive offers, converting them into sales over the phone. Requirements: 1. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, either in retail or telesales, preferably in the furniture or home goods industry. 2. Customer-focused: Ability to understand customer needs and provide solutions that lead to successful sales, either face-to-face or over the phone. 3. Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with customers in-store or on the phone. 4. Sales Ability: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in either a retail or tele-sales setting. 5. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems, point of sale (POS) software, and general office tools. 6. Problem Solving: Able to address customer concerns with creative solutions and provide exceptional customer service. 7. Flexibility: Willingness to switch between retail and tele-sales responsibilities based on business needs or personal skill set. 8. CRM Systems: Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track leads, sales, and customer interactions. 9. POS Systems: Experience with point-of-sale (POS) software for processing transactions, managing orders, and updating inventory. 10. Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating sales reports, managing customer databases, and other administrative tasks. 11. Email & Calendar Management: Comfortable using email and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Google Workspace) to communicate with customers and manage appointments. 12.
