Description
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to manage our full accounting system, with a particular emphasis on comprehensive inventory management . The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records, optimizing inventory flow, and contributing to the overall financial health of our manufacturing operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and adherence to a formal dress code . Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and trial balances. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Process payroll, manage employee reimbursements, and maintain associated records. Prepare and finalize financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct bank reconciliations and manage petty cash. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.) and prepare timely tax filings. Assist with internal and external audits. Inventory Management (Primary Focus) Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials (cast iron, MS, consumables), work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement and monitor robust inventory control procedures to prevent discrepancies, damage, and obsolescence. Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to forecast material needs and manage stock levels efficiently. Generate various financial and inventory reports for management. Experience: 5-10 years as an accountant in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrable expertise in inventory management. Experience in the iron, steel, or metal fabrication industry is highly preferred. Software Proficiency: Tally Prime is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Solid grasp of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax regulations. Work Environment: This is an in-office position located in Howrah, West Bengal. A formal dress code is observed in the workplace.
