Job Description

This function provides margin processing support for bilateral and cleared OTC derivatives, LD, Repo margin, CCP Margin, Portfolio reconciliations and Dispute Investigation and Valuation Client Services. Treasury Operations is responsible for funding all of banks Nostro Accounts and ensuring optimal utilization of banks funds across 8000+ agent bank accounts. The Nostro Management team is responsible for the management of the unsecured funding of Deutsche Bank. The aim of the area is to ensure that the balances on the banks main Commercial, Securities and Equities Nostro accounts are kept to a minimum and therefore the costs from overdrafts and lost opportunity are low. The tasks are performed using the strategic Global Nostro Management System (GCMS). Your key responsibilities Be a central point of contact for the process and for various business exhibiting professional manner and build strong working relationships with various stakeholders globally. Coordinate with areas such as Business, Product control and Middle Office to resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner. Ensuring processes and procedures are complied with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Manage risks relating to specific processes and identify any deviations from established policies and guidelines. Consistent performance as a risk manager. Participate in the review and updating of processes and policy across Treasury Operations. Partner with the project team to propose, develop and execute requirements for system enhancements and assist with user acceptance testing. Contribute to automation of functions, de-risking processes and simplification of complex workflows. Ensure KRIs and KPIs are closely monitored. Participate in change the bank (CTB) initiatives of the team as well as domain wide. Able to demonstrate delivery of a change initiative and challenges operating model identify process improvements and work with both business and support partners to enhance effectiveness of control environment and improve accuracy of reporting. Detailed knowledge of the front to back process in an investment banking environment. Proven ability to manage multiple product systems. Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Monitoring of various MIS reports and thereafter perform Root Cause Analysis for long/short nostro balances. Regular follow ups and interaction with different funding owners/trader/operations managers and group treasury. Responsible for all activities performed within the Nostro management. Functions broadly cover Funding, Reconciliations and Interest Allocation. Providing appropriate Management Information to Nostro Funding and Business Line managers. Ensure adherence to all cut-off times and quality of processing as maintained in SLA. Support Risk and Control initiatives and facilitate ongoing monitoring Keep all operational guidelines updated and ensure adherence to standards, procedures and identify plan to mitigate risks where-ever there is a control issue Ensure regular review and update of documents form the Business Contingency Management Perspective. Your skills and experience Professional skills: Degree educated in Finance, Commerce or related field, or have a minimum of 9-10 years of work experience in a Banking/Finance environment. Multifunction Business/Product Knowledge Banking and Securities Experience At least 5 Years experience in a Nostro Management environment Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong Word and Excel skills required Proficiency in automotive industry tools is beneficial. Build & maintain strong relationships with global stakeholders/teams. Your personal skills and experience: Strong organisational skills; ability to identify and prioritise multiple tasks based on criticality, impact and franchise importance. Exceptional communication skills verbal, written and presentation. Independent problem solver who demonstrates analytical thinking, accountability as well as execution capability. Ability to independently coordinate and manage work requirements across multiple business areas and functions, think outside the box and connect with global stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. An outstanding team spirit and flexibility are key. Must be able to work to tight deadlines Responsible for preparing and maintaining a comprehensive training plan for every employee in the team Ensure cross training is practiced to enable manage resourcing effectively
