Assistant Chief Engineer – Key Responsibilities 1. Maintenance Oversight Assist in managing the daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other systems. Ensure all machinery, equipment, and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely. Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance tasks. Maintaining chiller unit & monitoring the usage 2. Team Supervision Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering and maintenance staff. Train technicians and ensure they follow safety and quality standards. Assist the Chief Engineer in evaluating employee performance and skill development. 3. Project Support Support in planning and executing renovation, repair, and new installation projects. Monitor contractors and external service providers to ensure compliance with contracts and standards. 4. Compliance and Safety Ensure adherence to local codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA). Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain compliance. Respond to emergencies Assist in managing engineering inventory (tools, parts, equipment). Help prepare maintenance budgets and cost estimates. Ensure cost-effective practices without compromising quality or safety. 6. Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and safety checks. Assist with creating engineering reports for management and compliance bodies. 7. Collaboration Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, housekeeping, security) to ensure optimal facility performance. Act as acting Chief Engineer in their absence.
