Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of database management principles, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with MariaDB. As a Junior DBA / DBA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our database systems. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain MariaDB database instances in both development and production environments. Perform regular database backups and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data protection and availability. Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for improved efficiency and performance. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution to ensure minimal downtime. Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls to safeguard sensitive data. Collaborate with DevOps teams to support application deployments and ensure database compatibility. Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices to continuously improve our database infrastructure. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on MariaDB or MySQL. Strong understanding of database management principles, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization. Hands-on experience with MariaDB installation, configuration, and maintenance. Proficiency in SQL and the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries. Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools. Solid understanding of database security concepts and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database-related issues effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in database administration(e.g., MariaDB Certified Database Administrator). Familiarity with other database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Experience with database automation and scripting using tools. Knowledge of high availability and clustering solutions for MariaDB like Galera Cluster. Work Location : Gurgaon(work from office)
