Lead Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities: Lead and support combination product & medical device development programs from early user needs assessment to design input generation through to commercialization. Hands-on performance testing to determine device improvements required to meet specifications. Work effectively across functions and groups; build teams effectively and instil a global mindset within the team. Support intellectual property strategy by IP assessment, development, and patent filings. Lead the coordination, prioritization, and management of resources across device projects, manage and optimize links & risks between programs. Lead & Support the Combination Product & Device product development programs. Proactively identifies potential project risks and recommends implementation plans for associated mitigation strategies. Prepares project status reports, tracks project budgets, and communicates project status (incl. scope changes & implications) within the project team, across stakeholders and with Senior Management. Proactively responds to problems and resolves issues by proposing and presenting alternative technology and regulatory approaches and strategies; escalates issues as appropriate. Ensures product compliance with appropriate regulations and/or standards. Follow Product Development Process, including writing of all required documents to ensure compliance with design control. Eligibility criteria A minimum of a bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required (preferred from IIT) A minimum of 5 years relevant business / R&D experience with increasing responsibility is required. Must have FEA /Simulation Experience.
