Data Scientist (R Program must)

Job Description

Aaum and geniSIGHTS is seeking a motivated and skilled Data Scientist with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in R or Python. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in R and a passion for coding, problem-solving, and working with data. You will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions and creating actionable insights to support business decisions. Key Responsibilities : - Articulate and break down requirements from the product team into logical steps and user stories. - Analyse large datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends. - Work on sought requirements to enrich the product packages, including implementing new features and functionality, and troubleshooting and resolving issues. - Develop and maintain scripts and models in R and Python for data analysis and visualisation - Debug and perform code optimisation of existing package codes. - Work on logical testing to ensure the submitted codes are error-free - Work on the maintenance of codes in specific repositories - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for data-driven insights - Interface with customers for assigned projects, including gathering requirements and providing updates on project progress. - Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. - Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of models and make improvements as needed. Requirements: - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in data science or analytics using R or Python - Strong academic knowledge of R is mandatory. - Proficiency in coding and scripting with strong problem-solving abilities. - Hands-on experience in data wrangling, data mining, and statistical analysis. - Knowledge on machine learning techniques and algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) - Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex data insights clearly - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field Education UG : B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialisation PG : MBA/PGDM - Other Specialisation, MS/M.Sc(Science) - Statistics, M.Tech - Any Specialisation Doctorate: Analytic
