Backend developer (Laravel)

Job Description

Core Skills: 1. Proficient in Laravel Framework - Strong understanding of Laravel's architecture, routing, middleware, and ORM (Eloquent) - Experience with Laravel features like queues, events, and broadcasting 2. PHP Expertise - Advanced knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming principles 3. Database Management - Proficiency in MySQL (or other relational databases) - Ability to design normalized, optimized, and secure database schemas - Experience with Laravel's Query Builder and database migrations 4. API Development - Experience in developing RESTful APIs for system integration - Familiarity with API authentication methods like OAuth2, JWT, and Laravel Passport - Knowledge of version control for APIs 5. Security and Compliance - Understanding of security best practices (e.g., data encryption, secure authentication, and input validation) - Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, or other relevant compliance frameworks - Implementation of role-based access control (RBAC) and secure file storage 6. Performance Optimization - Experience in caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) - Knowledge of Laravel performance tools like Horizon or Scout 7. Testing and Debugging - Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit) - Familiarity with Laravel debugging tools like Telescope 8.
