Job Description

Description : To manage structural design processes for the assigned project, ensuring alignment with company objectives. The role is responsible for various tasks such as TDD, consultant contract management, design coordination with consultants, coordination with all internal stakeholders for the integration of design brief, costing, value engineering, etc. Purpose : To manage structural design processes for the assigned project through close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets based on concepts finalized by the corporate design team. Key Result Areas PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Design Strategy and Budgeting Stay up to date with design trends in the industry to stay ahead of competitors. Prepare budgets for the project in collaboration with the costing and budgeting team, taking various factors into account, and submit them to the Structural Design Lead for review and approval. Design Management Conduct fit checks done at the TDD stage and submit inputs to the Structural Lead at HO for review. Attend the project kick-off meetings and contribute to the discussion with respect to project scope and expectations. Coordinate with structural consultants for getting the drawings done with respect to concept schematic, detailed drawings, GFA and Good for Construction (GFC) documents. Review the drawings received from consultants and provide inputs on drawings and submit for further review. Submit all inputs received from all stakeholders to the consultant for incorporation in the drawings. Conduct site visits to check execution as per drawings. Resolve queries coming from the site team in terms of drawings. Provide inputs to the HO Structural Lead on project progress with respect to drawing submission as per defined timelines. Review the design change request, evaluate the same, and submit feedback to HO Structural Lead. Maintain consumption records of concrete and steel to avoid overconsumption. Submit reports at every stage. Track consumption records of concrete and steel. Highlight any deviations to the Structural lead and ensure necessary action is taken. Consultant Management – Prepare contract agreements for all consultants selected. Provide feedback on consultant performance to HO Structural Lead. Innovation and Efficiency Enhancement – Provide inputs to the Structural Lead on standardization initiatives across design processes and practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution. Participate and provide Value Engineering solutions at every stage of design development for cost-saving opportunities and enhance project value without compromising quality. Provide suggestions to the Structural Lead on emerging technologies and new materials for evaluation. Risk Management – Proactively identify potential risks associated with design decisions and project execution and highlight them to all stakeholders for immediate action. Implement the approved mitigation plan to ensure project completion on time.
