As part of our team, you will collaborate across borders with experts from the UK, North America, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, working on advanced projects in India, Singapore, and Indonesia. We specialize in ports, harbours, coastal and marine structures, providing end-to-end consulting services to clients worldwide. Our skills in reclamation and ground improvement have led to innovative solutions for complex marine clay deposits and other stimulating environments. In this position, you will join our global team of experts and work closely with Head of Department. Your primary task in our team will be to carry out design of multi-disciplinary marine, port and harbour projects and would work along with other Engineers and BIM/CAD staff to deliver design packages. On a day-to-day basis you will: Perform engineering activities and deliverables for tender, basic and detailed design of port and marine structures. Coordinate team of engineers and designers for delivering projects as necessary. Perform project management tasks, including project set-up, monitoring and control. Perform and co-ordinate project engineering and design activities in collaboration with teams in India and in other COWI locations Support the proposal manager(s) in preparing technical proposals and time-inputs. Furthermore, youll have: Master s in civil engineering/marine Structures from reputed institute with 10-15 years of experience in Port Harbour and Marine structures and also 3-5 years experience as a project manager for multi-disciplinary marine projects Experience in designing variety of marine structures like Jetties, Berths, Dolphins, bulk container yards and associated onshore facilities. Eye for detailing and strong problem-solving capability and mindset. Practical experience on structural analysis software like STAAD Pro, Sofistik, ROBOT, FAGUS, etc. Experience in Parametric design for structures will be an added advantage. Sufficient work exposure in steel member design and connection design using IDEA statiCa is expected. Member design includes steel sheet piles, steel piles, steel trestle beam, etc. Sound knowledge of other inter-related disciplines like geotechnical engineering, material handling, civil infrastructure like roads, drainage, etc. Have sufficient understanding of 3D BIM tools like Tekla Steel and Tekla RC, REVIT, CIVIL 3D, etc. for effective coordination. Knowledge of working with International and Indian codes and standards (IS, BS, EURO and API etc.) Have proficient communication skills with clear proficiency in written spoken English to be able to interact with internal as well as external teams.
