Security Engineer

Job Description

Design and Deployment: Architect, deploy, and configure Zscaler solutions (ZIA, ZPA) to protect enterprise networks and data. Work closely with internal teams to implement Zscalers cloud-based security services in accordance with best practices. Customize Zscaler policies, rules, and configurations to meet organizational security requirements. Administration and Management: Conduct regular policy audits, tuning, and reporting for ZIA and ZPA configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Zscaler deployments. Security and Compliance: Ensure the Zscaler platform meets industry standards and compliance requirements. Conduct threat analysis, review logs, and work on security incidents related to Zscaler services. Training and Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for configurations, policies, and troubleshooting procedures. Train internal teams on the Zscalers security services. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Zscaler product updates, features, and best practices. Proactively identify potential security gaps and recommend improvements in the Zscaler deployment. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Certifications: Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP-IA or ZCCP-PA) preferred. Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent are a plus. Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Zscaler products (ZIA, ZPA). Strong understanding of network security, VPN technologies, and secure web gateways. Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable. Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). Strong grasp of networking protocols, firewall rules, and security policies. Familiarity with authentication mechanisms like SAML, LDAP, and OAuth. Understanding of security tools (SIEM, firewalls, DLP, etc.). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
