Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Experience: 5 Years Location: Mumbai, India Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Oracle DBA with 5+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and high availability setups. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health, performance, and security of Oracle databases running in production and development environments. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c). Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries for better efficiency. Perform backup and recovery using RMAN and Data Pump. Manage database security, user roles, and privileges. Implement and support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions – Data Guard, RAC. Regularly apply patches and ensure database security compliance. Automate repetitive DBA tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL. Troubleshoot database issues and provide 24x7 support for critical incidents. Maintain documentation related to DB design, processes, and configurations. Required Skills: Strong experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c on Linux/Unix platforms. Expertise in RMAN, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), and Data Guard. Solid knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization. Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and partitioning. Good understanding of PL/SQL scripting and shell scripting. Knowledge of ITIL practices is a plus. Experience working with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, etc. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is preferred.
