About the Role Were looking for a Developer Advocate who plays a crucial role in championing our products and supporting the developer community. In this role, you will be the face of Actian within the developer community, creating content and engagement efforts with developers to drive awareness, adoption, and advocacy for our database and data intelligence products. This role is a unique opportunity to define and scale developer relations at Actian. You’ll be the bridge between Actian and its users, gathering valuable feedback to help us continuously improve our product. You’ll have the opportunity to understand our customers, our community, their problems, and how Actian can solve them. Responsibilities Create high-quality technical content, including tutorials, blog posts, sample applications, code snippets, and videos showcasing our solutions' real-world applications. Engage with the Actian user community, online forums, social media, and developer communities (like Stack Overflow, Reddit, etc.) Gather feedback from the developer community and relay it to the product and engineering teams to help improve our products and documentation. Develop and maintain sample apps and SDKs in various programming languages, particularly Python, demonstrating best practices for using our solutions. Analyze engagement metrics and community feedback to improve our developer relations strategy continuously. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Requirements Strong background in software engineering with a focus on Python and databases. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of relevant experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a related function. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications Nice-To-Haves Proficiency in building solutions with Python in the context of large enterprises High-level understanding of relational & non-relational DB concepts, SQL language/syntax/dialects. Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
