Job Title: Database Administrator Role Description: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, and demonstrate databases. You will manage database functions across multiple teams or clients, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, as well as ensuring effective backup/recovery and configuration management. Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for: Administering, developing, testing, and demonstrating databases. Designing and implementing new databases. Performing backup/recovery operations and managing configuration. Installing database management systems (DBMS) and contributing to procedural documentation for problem resolution and daily maintenance. Roles & Responsibilities: Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Design, implement, and maintain new databases. Conduct backup/recovery and configuration management tasks. Install DBMS and provide input for procedure modifications and documentation for problem resolution. Ensure day-to-day maintenance of database systems. Must-Have Skills: IBM DB2 Database Administration expertise. Good-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of MongoDB. Experience with IBM Netezza. HPUX System Administration skills. Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in IBM DB2 Database Administration. Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in computer science or a related field. Additional Information: The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and a proven track record of delivering effective database solutions.
