Description
Key Skills: Database, Installation Roles and Responsibilities: Manage and support database systems in production environments. Ensure high availability and performance of various databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management. Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues efficiently. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Maintain database security and access controls in line with best practices. Ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2. Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and operations. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to optimize database integration and support. Generate and review detailed reports on database activities, incidents, and performance metrics. Skills Required: Minimum of 7 years of experience in database management and support, with a focus on production operations. Strong technical background with expertise in various database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Relevant database certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, MySQL Database Administrator, and PostgreSQL Certified Professional. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and generating detailed reports. Understanding of database security principles and best practices. Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2. Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
