Job Description

Responsible for developing and implementing BDA strategies aimed at increasing market share and profitability across our business. You will manage incoming Request for Quotation (RFQ) by connecting the key participants of the project to ensure quality responses in requested timelines. Your role will be to continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Grade - 15 Please note that the Job will close at 12am on Posting Close date, so please submit your application prior to the Close Date What your main responsibilities are: Manage incoming Request for Quotation (RFQ) by connecting the key participants of the project to ensure quality responses in requested timelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, operations and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop bid strategies. Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings, ensuring key stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues. Work with pricing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure bid proposals meet all legal and regulatory requirements. Setup alignment calls, issues minutes and schedule follow-ups and agreed-upon tasks to enable standards to be consistently met. Monitor and track bid performance metrics, analyzing win/loss data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Conduct post-bid analysis and debrief sessions to identify areas of improvement and implement lessons learned for future bids. Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid management. Strong negotiation and communication skills- Explain the rationale and defend business justification and price levels when analyzing Domestic and Global deals (across Operating Companies, Products and Market Segments). Consult and develop efficient and effective approval framework, process and innovative solutions to increase BDA analyst effectiveness, RFI submissions, fast deal turnaround, strong yield management - measuring and actions - across both strategic pricing as well as contract management (pricing implementation). Collaborate with sales team to identify opportunities, understand customer needs and provide technical support throughout the sales cycle. Including crafting proposals, creating standard operating procedures and dashboards for managing global bids. Follow up on the RFQ pipeline to make sure that all incoming possibilities benefit from early & appropriate planning. Maintaining comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication and pricing information. What We Are Looking For Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Marketing with major in marketing research or strategic marketing, Finance/Economics, Engineering or related analytical fields. Minimum Experience Eight (8) years of work experience in BDA / Sales Soultion / Strategic pricing planning within a regional setting. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Collaborating with Global stakeholders (Memphis and other regions) Excellent commercial and pricing acumen- Review RFQ’s, manage end to end bid process, make business sense of numbers, identify reasons for gain or loss of bids, lead process transformations for developing and maintaining an agile pre-sales process, articulate and converge the pricing story with the E2E customer journey at FedEx. Previous regional/global bid manager experience will be preferred. Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models and technical responses. Strong experience of leading Data / Pricing Analytics Projects with a focus on Visualization Critical technical skills such as – VBA, SQL* , SAS/Python, Power BI, etc. Strong understanding of E2E pricing systems, analytical tools, visualizations, web applications & online report developments, System setup and testing, etc. Good understanding of system / tool transformation capabilities, automation capabilities such as RPA, etc. Aligning with US-global demand / creating a roadmap Consultative and delivery-oriented mindset Agility in plan and execution with highly empowered and innovative team FedEx was built on a philosophy that puts people first, one we take seriously.
