hiring a dynamic, aspirational, and experienced Design Manager to be a part of our Data Center projects. The candidate should be well versed with commercial projects design, experience in designing of electrical systems of Data Center concepts will be an added advantage. Role & responsibilities The Design Manager will be responsible of Design & Engineering of large-scale data centre construction projects and will be performing Electrical engineering review and analysis, establishing project design requirements, interfacing with IT clients, Lead consultants and construction firms etc. throughout till project completion. Capture business requirement, conceptualize design to meet relevant standards and work along with internal team to spin out a quick layout & proposal. Managing all the Design engineering and Technical support activities and helping in creating suitable solutions for the MEP systems of the Data Center comprising wide variety of technologies and OEM products. Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, analyst views and apply thus gained knowledge in real time to deliver value for best design implementation. Creation/Review of solution design document, BOQ, SOW, estimates and initiative-taking proposal responses. Thorough knowledge of designing, selection and technical Review of MEP items like HV & LV Switchgear panels, Transformers, Power & control cables, DG Set of large rating, UPS, PDU, Earthing & Bonding, Lightning protection, Chillers, Fire suppression system, PAHU/FWU and other MEP equipment. Review of Schematics, Layout, Shop drawings, GTP, safety aspects, Installation, and other miscellaneous drawings. Educate and train internal team about the latest technologies and solutions. Managing the RFIs from site, SCM, Suppliers and close the packages with in stipulated time limits. Leading MEP discussions in the Design progress and coordination meetings of the project with Consultant, Contractor, and other agencies. Preferred candidate profile design consultancy background with consultants and EPC companies will be preferred. Experience in Electrical / Mechanical design systems in commercial projects like Hospitals, Retails, Airports, High rise buildings. Large scale Hyperscale and Colocation Data Centres designing experience will be preferred. Handson experience electrical system studies like ETAP/Amtech/SKM AutoCAD, Navisworks and other digital engineering platforms will be an advantage and is optional. B Tech/ BE- Electrical Engineer with 10-15 experience preferably in Electrical Design of commercial projects ( and Data centre projects experience will be an advantage) . Knowledge desirable of relevant design standards TIER Standards Topology as per Uptime Standards, TIA 942, for Data Centres IEEE, BS/IS, NFPA, ASHRAE, NBC, ECBC etc. Possess adequate technical knowledge in overall Data Center build components (Electrical, Mechanical, ELV and BMS). Review Sizing and designing of the solution for Data Center MEP system. Work closely with Implementation team to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Develop competitive technical and commercial differentiators in partnership with internal team and OEMs. Initiative-taker, Innovative, Adaptive learner, Creative and out of box thinker. Provide the Implementation team with all necessary documentation for the successful completion of the project. Interaction with OEMs/vendors for technical sign off. Perks and benefits
