PiLog products include but not limited to MDRM, MDOM, iDQM, iMDRM, iSPIR, iTransform & iVisualize powered by Data Science [AI & ML] Job Summary: As an Inventory Optimization Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory management strategies that help our clients achieve optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and improve supply chain performance. Your expertise in data analysis, demand forecasting, and process improvement will be critical in driving significant improvements in inventory turnover and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Analyze current inventory management processes for clients, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement in inventory flow, storage, and forecasting. Develop and implement tailored inventory optimization strategies that align with the clients goals, focusing on cost reduction, improved cash flow, and stock availability. Utilize advanced inventory management techniques, such as Just-In-Time (JIT), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and demand forecasting models, to improve inventory turnover and minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless inventory planning and management. Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for inventory optimization, leveraging tools like Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and specialized inventory management software. Provide guidance on inventory control best practices, implementing robust processes for stock tracking, replenishment, and cycle counting. Develop and deliver reports and presentations to clients, showcasing the performance of implemented strategies and highlighting areas for further improvement. Advise clients on the selection and implementation of inventory management technologies, ensuring alignment with existing systems and processes. Lead workshops and training sessions for client teams to ensure understanding and adoption of optimized inventory management practices. Monitor performance post-implementation, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as stock turnover, service levels, and inventory carrying costs, and recommend adjustments as necessary. Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in inventory management, sharing insights with clients and internal teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in inventory management, optimization, or consulting, with a proven track record of successful projects. Strong expertise in inventory management techniques, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization. Experience with inventory management software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.). In-depth knowledge of inventory control practices, stock replenishment strategies, and inventory optimization models. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders at all levels. Proven experience in leading inventory optimization projects and delivering measurable improvements in inventory management. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and mentor junior consultants. Certification in Supply Chain Management (APICS CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma, etc.) is highly preferred. Ability to travel as required for client engagements.
