Job Summary Job Title: Core Engineering Specialist Location: TechM Pune Hinjewadi Years of Experience: 5 7 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Core Engineering Specialist with a strong background in Body in White (BIW) processes. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry, demonstrating expertise in BIW design, development, and optimization. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to deliver high quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of BIW components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize BIW processes and improve overall product performance. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new BIW projects, providing technical guidance and support. Utilize advanced engineering tools and software to create and analyze BIW designs. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance product quality and manufacturability. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to BIW and implement innovative solutions. Mentor junior engineers and provide training on BIW best practices and methodologies. Mandatory Skills: Strong knowledge and experience in Body in White (BIW) processes and technologies. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) for BIW design. Experience with manufacturing processes related to BIW, including welding, stamping, and assembly. Ability to perform structural analysis and simulations related to BIW components. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations. Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Knowledge of lightweight materials and their application in BIW design. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. 5 7 years of relevant experience in Core Engineering with a focus on BIW. Professional certifications in engineering or project management are a plus.
