In this vital role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions in the Clinical Trial Management, Monitoring, & Engagement (CTMME) product team that meet business needs while ensuring availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers supporting Veeva Vault Clinical Operations to create high-quality, scalable software solutions, automate operations, monitor system health, and respond to incidents to minimize downtime. Roles & Responsibilities: Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment. Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline. Possess strong rapid prototyping skills and quickly translate concepts into working code. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technologies. Develop innovative solutions using generative AI technologies. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations. Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements. Collaborate closely with product, business teams, and other partners. Design, develop, implement, and maintain Veeva Vault Clinical Operations applications including configurations, custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements. Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into software architecture and design specifications. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software quality. Integrate Veeva Vault Clinical Operations applications with other systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality. Provide ongoing application support and maintenance to ensure smooth, efficient operation. Design and implement systems/processes to improve application reliability, scalability, and performance. Develop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards to track system health, performance, and availability. Respond promptly to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard systems from unauthorized access and threats. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate Degree OR Master's degree with 46 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR Bachelor's degree with 68 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR Diploma with 1012 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Veeva Clinical Operations Vault applications, including configuration settings. Strong knowledge of information systems and network technologies. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Experience with version control systems like Git. Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or other languages. Good-to-Have Skills: Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Linux, and Shell scripting. Experience working in an Agile environment (user stories, iterative development, etc.). Professional Certifications ITIL (preferred) Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for Teams (preferred) Veeva Vault platform (preferred) Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams. High degree of initiative and self-motivation. Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully. Team-oriented, focused on achieving team goals. Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
